When Claire was a freshman, she came across my photos on Instagram, and says, “There was no one else I even considered to take my pictures! I loved the natural pictures, where the subjects were laughing and messing around! They’re so fun, and that’s exactly how I want to look back on myself in high school”. Her high school years have been filled with happy memories, but her favorite have been the football games at Vandegrift. I really enjoyed meeting this outgoing, fun and adventurous senior, and the way she brought that inspiration into our shoot…She was up for anything, and her natural, stylish poise was so lovely to work with! Her personal style veers towards lacey blouses, cold-shoulder tops, and jeans, and she put together a gorgeous, bohemian-inspired wardrobe for her session. When she was dreaming up her session, she thought of natural sunlight, and a bright and cheery vibe, and we brought it right to life. When she graduates, she hopes to attend the University of Oklahoma and study business administration and public relations, something I know she’s been amazing at. She also dreams of studying abroad, and getting married and having a family in the future.
When you’re a senior in high school, there’s about ten million things on your mind. Whether it’s college applications, scholarship deadlines, or college visits, there’s pretty much something on your to-do list every single day. That lengthy to-do list is just one of the reasons that I try to make my senior sessions so seamless and stress-free, and why every senior gets a customized experience. In the midst of all that stress, you deserve the perfect day, feeling like a star (and not just marking something off a to-do list)! Claire recently came to me for her own senior session, and I think we accomplished just that; a beautiful day where she was absolutely the center of attention! She is graduating from Vandegrift High School, where she stays busy as the Executive President of the Student Council and the yearbook Editor, and participates in PALS, FCA, and the National Charity League. When she has a free moment, you can likely find her at her church (where she leads a small group for eighth graders), or working at Barre3, which is a ballet-inspired fitness studio.
