Class of 2017 Availability Update | Austin Senior Portriats
Whoa, where the heck did Summer 2016 go? Who else is with me looking over their shoulder thinking what just happened, how is school starting next week?!?! All that being said, now is usually a time where I start to see a resurgence in inquiries for senior portraits, since you know you’re technically a senior now. I want to give some big props to Class of 2017 first though, they are on the ball and have been reaching out since the middle of last spring scheduling their sessions. Which leaves me with TWO sessions left before we ring in the New Year! And Very limited dates left for Spring 2017 already! I wanted to write this little post to give those of you looking at the calendar and seeing the options some peace of mind. There is beauty in every one of our seasons here in Texas, and often not much of a difference in temperature.
Up above you can see the dates I have still available for hopefully you’re (yes you reading this very post) senior portraits, and below I want you to look at a couple of examples from each season, and some pros and cons of anytime of the year.
Oh Fall, how I love thee, booties, jeans, pumpkins, cooler temperatures and did I mention pumpkin???? Fall is a great time of year, the air is a bit crisper the humidity a lot lower, but it’s still warm. The colors are gorgeous lush landscapes and golden sunsets are the norm here in Central Texas. It’s warm enough to comfortably wear that sundress and cool enough to add some options like a poncho, over the knee boots, hats, oh the fashion options! Your schedule is still relatively light, the craziness of spring hasn’t sunk in yet and you’re basking in the big man on campus glow of being a senior!
Winter-time, another of my favorites, and the poor guy really gets a bad rap. Everyone thinks of drab, cold and dreary days during winter, but in reality this is Texas, it’s rare for the temperatures to be below 50. Winter is great for girls who loves vests, jackets, scarves, boots, cozy outfits and hot chocolate! It’s also not unusual at all for me to shoot sundresses, sleeveless outfits and sandals during the winter! You’re still basking in the glow of being a senior, enjoying the beginning of your last semester of high school and just enjoying life. It’s a great time to shoot your senior portraits, while you’re still relaxed and not quite too busy.
Oh, springtime, that magical time of year where the weather warms up and the earth begins to bloom. It’s also when Mother Earth goes a bit cray cray and sends us weeks of windy weather and sporadic rain showers. As the weather calms down going into April, the flowers begin to bloom and it’s again another magical time for some gorgeous portraits. It’s also a time where you are going to be super busy, finalizing college plans, gearing up for banquets, proms and more banquets and finals, let’s just not even mention finals yet. It’s hitting you now that the end is near, you’re almost done and you couldn’t feel more accomplished at this very moment.
Hopefully you’ve seen there are beautiful pros and very minor cons to anytime of year here in Texas for your senior portraits. I can’t wait to meet you and make all your senior portrait dreams come true!
