I encourage all of my clients with little ones to get in for a family session at least once a year. I hear lots of excuses and reasons why this is really hard: little ones are wiggly, outfits are hard to find and coordinate, family photos are expensive, and it is stressful. I’m a mom myself, and I understand! That’s what I use my own personal experiences as mom to shape my work as a photographer. I make the process simple, I know how to work with children, and I know how to answer all the questions the mamas might have. I can even help you coordinate your outfits and give you pointers on where to shop! In fact, I think it’s even awesome to do family photos twice a year, because you’ll get two different seasonal looks, and your little ones often change a ton in just six months (If you’re a mom, think back to how many changes happened in just the first six months of having a baby, and you know what I mean!).
This is the Cain family: Curt, Jess, Ella, and Wesley. Jess and Curt are a beautiful, loving couple, and their children were full of sweetness and spunk. The color in this fall-inspired shoot were perfect in the sunlight, and can we just talk about Wesley’s little blazer?! It is too adorable. This mama has impeccable tastes, and loves to shop at Gap and Gingersnaps for her little ones. Together, this foursome loves swimming, movies, going on dates, sports, and going to the beach in the summertime. “Ella is so fun, she is headstrong, outgoing, dramatic, and loves unicorns and donuts”, explains Jess, “And Wesley is more reserved, but he loves dinosaurs. Both kids love playing soccer and are in gymnastics and music class.”
I often ask “Are you ready to book a family session”, but I encourage you to go ahead and do it, even if you don’t feel “ready”. We can help you get ready, and we promise you will never regret doing family photos NOW!
