“When I think about what I want for our family session, I think of beautiful Austin”, explained Kat, “I have lived here for twenty-five years, and wouldn’t have it any other way”. Sure enough, we went with a gorgeous, urban, and modern theme for this amazing little trio! I loved getting to know mom Kat, dad Jason (“Troop”), and little Andy, and really hoped to capture their fun personalities and family bond. “We are a kooky bunch”, laughs mom, “I work at Andy’s preschool and Troop owns and runs a local restaurant here in Bee Cave. We love to have family fun; going to the zoo, playgrounds, and taking day trips together.”
Kat and Troop love being parents to spunky little Andy, who they add, “is a hoot. He LOVES trains…Thomas the Train & Friends to be exact. Loves Paw Patrol too. He is a very careful kid. The only bandaids he’s ever had were after immunization shot, and, we are ok with that! He might seem shy at first, but he really opens up”. Mom adds that her personal style is very “comfortable and that typically, I wear jeans and a tank top”. Kat also loves writing (and is working on her first children’s book), and baking cupcakes when she has free time. “I love my family more than anything and am super grateful for them,” she explains. I sure loved every moment with this special family, and can’t wait to photograph them again soon!
