When the mama in this wonderful family told me that her vision was for a shoot in a field of flowers, I immediately started dreaming of a session just like this…and how precious are her two girls (Ann Coleman and Clayton)? The Pettit Family is from Austin, and formerly resided in Memphis, Tennessee. They are learning to love and explore their new hometown, and they love being outdoors together. “I was so interested in having our photos taken, because we haven’t found a professional photographer here in Austin”, says mom Sarah, “I really treasure the photos of our girls, and our family, and love displaying them in our home. I want to remember every stage, and moment of our girls’ childhoods”.
I sure loved getting to see the different personalities of these family members, and appreciated their fun spirits and willingness to play and laugh with me. “Ann Coleman can be reserved at first, but once you get her laughing, she can be really outgoing”, says Sarah, “Clayton is a ham, and she can definitely be a goofball once she opens up to people. She LOVES to hug her big sister. They both love playing games, make-believe, and exploring outdoors”. Obviously, they also have amazing style, thanks to their mom, who enjoys shopping for her littles at Nordstrom and Boden. As a family, the four of them (included dad Jake), enjoy playing games, watching movies, and traveling to the beach. Mom Sarah also keeps her own schedule full with volunteer work at the girls’ school, being part of her local chapter of MOPS, reading, and being part of her bible study group.
