Maybe you haven’t met Ashley, but when you do, you’ll feel like you’ve always known her. She has this wonderful quality in her that you connect with immediately. I felt like I’ve known her for years! We had such a good time out and about, and the sun graced the shoot so beautifully. We went out at the perfect time of day, and we captured a bundle of light rays peeking into the lens, which mimicked Ashley’s own radiance. I loved the contrast of the green grass when we were out in the field, and I utilized my zoom lens for a shot that blurred the background into a solid green, which played so wonderfully off of her beautiful eyes, and gorgeous blonde hair.
For each of our locations, Ashley had different outfits picked out to fit the color spectrum of the area. We found this awesome blue garage door, complete with peeling paint, that made for a fantastic background. I know that’s not the most flattering description of a door, but check out the photos below, and you’ll see what I mean. The grungy blue worked so well with Ashley’s natural beauty. We also took a walk in the neighborhood, and Ashley wore an off-shoulder top, and her outfit really completed the ‘out for a stroll’ feel. That garage door wasn’t the only dilapidated area we found; we made good use of a run-down rusty metal-yard to play off of Ashley’s youthful, unblemished look. And boy, did it play off well!
Working with Ashley was a joy, and it’s people like her that make my career a joy. Whether you’re a senior, or a family, I’d be overjoyed to take your portraits! Contact me HERE for more info.
