If you could put a face on fun, it’d be Elizabeth. It was such a great time in our session, and we both loved the photos that came out of it! She has this elegance about her that made for some wonderful shots, and her light-hearted spirit made for some beautiful memories. We traveled around to a host of locations, each with its own unique feel. In the pictures, you can see how each one contains a spirit within itself: surrounded by palms, Elizabeth takes on a sort of island demeanor, alongside her peaceful smile and gorgeous outfit. Take that same girl and put her against a deep blue, rustic backdrop, and you retain the same sort of peacefulness with an entirely different, contemplative feel.
As a photographer, it’s important to have a good understanding of your local areas, and what those locations will look like behind your model. While Elizabeth has a beauty about her that would work against most any backdrop, there are still some locales I would shy away from putting her in front of. That’s not to say they wouldn’t work out well, it’s that I know what will work best for her based on her likes and personality. Communication is key!
For Elizabeth, she loves color, so we chose locations that would coordinate with her, and that would play off well with what she wanted from the shoot. She had these great outfits on that were fantastic in each of our locations, and I could have sworn she was a professional model! She loved each location as much as I do, and we had a great time getting to know each other. It’s always a challenge to capture the soul of someone in your photos, but I think in them you can see just who Elizabeth is. I wish her all the best!
