There’s really something to chronicling a legacy. As a photographer, I have the opportunity to do this with each of my clients, whether they’re coming in for their senior pictures or anything else. Each day we’re adding onto that legacy just by living our lives, and pictures are the best way to remember every step along the journey. Graduation is one of those big steps in Delaney’s life, and what a joy it was to capture. We spent some time in the studio and outdoors, and each location brought its own atmosphere. In the studio, there was a beautiful soft glow surrounding Delaney, and her gorgeous dress matched her own looks. Outdoors, she dressed for the weather with some cute outfits, and we took a stroll around town and in the country to make for an all-around wonderful day.
Delaney is one of three sisters that I’ve had the privilege to photograph. It’s such an honor to be a part of their family in this way, and it means so much that they’ve chosen me each time. What a glorious thing it is to see such a strong sisterly bond between them. It’s true that a threefold cord cannot be easily broken, and these three share a loving bond that’s wonderful to witness, and to capture. Each of these ladies have the memories of some of the most important times of their lives printed out to look back on forever, and that’s one of the most important things to one can have. In the end, our memories will be what are most important to us, even if we can’t remember them all. Having oodles of pictures of each one is invaluable!
Being able to give that to someone is such a wonderful thing, and to be honest, it’s one of my greatest pleasures in life. Taking pictures and capturing your life in a moment is such fun, and to have this for a job is one of the greatest gifts given to me. And what a gift Delaney is to her own family. I wish her all the best as she continues onward and makes many more beautiful memories!
