There is nothing more beautiful than finding your course as you believe you bob aimlessly in the current. Wouldnโt you know that your path was there all along, waiting for you to knock, waiting for you to become. This path does not belong to your parents, your teachers, your leaders, or your lovers. Your path is your character defining itself more and more everyday like a photograph coming into focus. -Jodie Foster
Westlake High School has produced some pretty amazing graduates, including this amazing young woman. Suzanne definitely has her head on her shoulders, and is beautiful as well as loving, and she shared with me that she had searched high and low across the internet for a senior photographer. “I just fell in love with your photos and so did my mom! I reached out to a few people who used you, and they all had great things to say, contrary to some others that used different photographers. All of your pictures seemed perfectly edited, and I loved reading about you in your bio”, she added, “I wanted senior photos that were cute and not overly serious or made-up. Others I had seen were too much like an ad, or were overly posed”. Senior year has treated this beauty well, and she was eager to share some of her favorite memories with me: “I loved the first day of senior year, getting all dressed up and taking pictures with everyone, and making it to the semi-finals for football!” Suzanne also enjoys her anatomy and physiology class at school, and stays busy with the National Honor Society, YoungLife, the American Sign Language Club, and serving as an officer on the student council. She has also earned an internship at Dell Children’s Medical Center, which she hopes will lay a foundation for her future career of nursing.
Although her normal school-day outfit consists of leggings and a tee shirt, Suzanne certainly loved getting glammed-up for her senior session, and we set out for some of our best locations: outdoors and in my studio. The light was especially pretty as we did her session, and I could hardly tear myself away from shooting when we wrapped up. This very stylish gal loves following celeb fashion from stars like Blake Lively, and describes her style as “a mix of everything”. When it comes to college, she was undecided at the time of her session, but was eagerly awaiting responses from her top three schools, where she hopes to continue her pursuit of her B.S.R.N. Although college is at the top of her list, she adds, “I will really miss Austin, and the food, nice people, and all the fun adventurous things to do”. In five years, I have no doubt I’ll be on the sidelines, watching this girl graduate from nursing school and head off for her masters degree (her five year plan!). Congratulations, Suzanne!
