When I saw her expressive eyes and gorgeous hair, I knew it was going to be a total privilege to work with this sweet senior from Dilley High School. Clarissa did her research when it came to choosing a photographer, and said she looked for an artist who would take the time to get to know her. It’s one of the things I value the most as a senior photographer, and the thing that I want every senior to know who I work with: you are known, and I care about you as a person. There were so many things to learn about this smart and talented girl; for starters, she is active in our local FFA chapter, and does Wool Judging as one of her extra curriculars. She also loves softball and getting to play the sport with her sisters ranks as her favorite high school memory to date. “I would describe my personality as quiet but outgoing when you get to know me”, she explained, “I wanted a session that encompassed all of me, with lots of casual outfits”.
When she’s walking the halls of her school, you’re pretty likely to find her in a regular outfit like jeans and a flowy top. While she follows a few celebs and fashion bloggers, this girl really has her own personal style honed in, and I enjoyed seeing her outfit combinations and ideas. “My favorite piece right now would be overall dresses, and I wanted my senior photos to have a bit of retro feel with bell-bottoms”, she added, “I enjoy dressing for spring, and wearing turquoise or yellow, because I feel they compliment my skin tone nicely”. She added in a gorgeous yellow printed kimono to the bell-bottom jeans she was wanting to include, and the look was picture perfect. Once she wraps up her time in high school, she plans to attend Paul Mitchell School SA, to study cosmetology and become a celebrity hairstylist and makeup artist. Among some of her other future plans would be traveling to all fifty states.
Congratulations, you gorgeous girl. You’ll make the most amazing stylist one day!
