You met this gorgeous, smart young lady on last week’s blog, and today, you get the privilege of seeing her editorial session! You may be wondering what an editorial session is, and how it differs from a regular senior shoot. Each of my senior models receives two photoshoots per year; I love giving them the chance to get in front of the camera more than once, and they love showing off different aspects of their personalities. Some of my senior model team has also been featured on the Senior Style Guide, for which I am so grateful. An editorial session is a chance to show off edgier fashion, with bold locations and lighting that would be suited for magazine or style shoots. It has a crisp and styled feel, and I tend to show off more of the architectural details and location angles. I love getting my creative juices flowing in editorial sessions, and look forward to them every single time, especially with stunning models like Candace. Candace has a surety about her that really brought my inspiration to life, and we both had tons of fun putting together these ensembles. Her sequined, dragonfly top was fun and unexpected, and we paired it with crisp, cream colored culottes and matching pumps for a decidedly uptown look. Her second look was a dreamy maxi inspired by Lauren Conrad, and paired with the infamous Rebecca Minkoff crossbody style purse. We kept the same neutral pumps, and did a garden inspired location for an elegant, softer look. Candace looked stunning in every shot, and I was impressed with her natural posing ability.
