“Don’t judge my story by the chapter you walked in on”
That’s Avery’s favorite quote, and it just might be my new favorite, too! Life is a journey, and it’s simply not fair to compare ourselves to where others are in their own journeys. There have been many times in my life when I have felt inadequate compared to others, but the important part is to just keep going, putting one foot in front of the other! Avery is amazing, and her journey has been impressive and wonderful thus far. She attends Vandegrift High School, and really loves being part of NCL and a local bible study when she’s not in class. “I’d describe my personality as outgoing and a free spirit”, she shared, “I love music, hanging out with my friends, and volunteering!” She is very active in the Austin music scene, and is extremely creative in both art and writing. “When I leave for college, I will really miss Austin”, she continues, “The live music scene and outdoor activities are amazing, as well as the lake. I will really miss my family and my friends, but I am hopeful to attend Texas Tech to study nursing.”
“I’d describe my personal style as pretty edgy and trendy”, adds Avery, “I love trendy items like kimono’s, jumpsuits, rompers, and skinny jeans. Normally, I wear jeans and a cute top with wedges and booties to school, and I enjoy shopping at Nordstrom and Adorn”. She also follows some fashion bloggers like Lauren Sims and Katey Mcfarlan, and really loves Blake Lively’s celebrity style. In the next five years, she plans to attend nursing school, travel to the Eiffel Tower, and visit Hawaii. I know she’ll definitely be able to accomplish all that and more with her amazing work ethic.
I was super grateful to do her siblings’ senior photos as well as hers, and absolutely love that I’ve gotten to be a part of their family’s story!
