Stormy is one of those amazing vibrant people who make up the fabric of the state I call home. Texas is known for being big, loud, and eclectic, and Austin is especially part of the arts and music culture. Stormy LOVES living here, and there’s no wonder why. She’s a creative, smart senior who loves music and being active. She describes herself as, “very compassionate. I try to be a very loyal friend who doesn’t gossip, and I pride myself on being able to keep a secret. I love handling the travel plans for my group of friends, and planning fun themed parties. I try to avoid the typical only-child stereotypes…I am definitely not selfish!” She attends Vandegrift High School, and really enjoys playing soccer. She also enjoys history and science, and especially her AP economics class.
Shopping is not one of this beautiful girl’s favorite activities, but she could have fooled me! She has incredible taste with such an artistic spirit, and says some of her favorite pieces are boho and festival looks like deconstructed jeans and duster sweaters. “I love the way Jennifer Aniston dresses, and I love celeb style like Serena from Gossip Girl (Blake Lively). On a normal school day, I’d wear deconstructed jeans, and a fitted tee with booties.” With her creative eye, she envisioned a senior shoot with an editorial bent, especially with industrial backgrounds and lots of interesting textures, and maybe something a little unexpected. I really enjoyed planning out and designing her shoot to capture her boho personality. She has earned a full-ride scholarship to play soccer at MSU, then hopes to travel for a few months before settling down professionally. Right now, her three possible majors are broadcast meteorology, landscape architecture and urban planning, or anthropology and museum studies and interior design. “I chose you for my senior photos because all your photos were beautiful, and everyone has good things to say about you”, adds Stormy, “You are very authentic, and I feel like you never judge. Most photographers just want you to give them big toothy smiles. You’re a Vandegrift icon, and you did lots of my friend’s shoots”.
Thanks, Stormy, for giving me the chance to do these amazing images!
